Gutter repair, Rhode Island & Nearby MA

We stop one dripping seam from rotting the wood behind it

Leaking seams, sagging sections, holes, loose downspouts and rotted fascia. We look over the whole run, find what's actually causing the problem and fix it, not just the spot that's dripping.

Repairs can include resealing corners and end caps, re-hanging gutters with proper hangers, correcting the pitch (the slope that carries water to the downspout), replacing a damaged section and repairing the fascia board behind the gutter. We don't do soffit work.

If a repair isn't worth it, we'll say so and price replacing that section or side of the house instead, so you can choose. Estimates are free, and many repairs can be quoted from a photo.

We repair gutters and downspouts in every Rhode Island town, including Providence, Warwick, Cranston, East Providence, Woonsocket and Newport, and in nearby Massachusetts towns such as Attleboro, Seekonk, Swansea, Fall River, Franklin and Mansfield.

One section of my gutter system had a hole in it. Mr. Gutter had great reviews, so I called them. They were very quick to respond, I sent a photo, and within minutes they gave me a reasonable quote to replace it. It was just replaced, they were very pleasant, would definitely use them again, highly recommend!

Maureen R.Customer review

They were responsive, reasonably priced, and fixed the problems left by another gutter company. They ended up replacing my gutter system on one side of my house, and now it drains properly and no longer leaks.

Corrie F.Customer review

Mr Gutter did a nice job of cleaning and repositioning a gutter for us. We had them change a gutter to lead water farther away from the house. Communication was good setting up the job. Crew did a good job of cleaning up debris after cleaning the gutter.

The local difference: no sales pitch

National gutter brands sell through in-home appointments. We'd rather just give you a straight answer.

Frequently Asked Questions

Should I repair or replace my gutters?
If the system is basically sound and one spot has failed, a repair makes sense. If you have leaks at many joints, sagging along whole runs, or rust and cracks, replacement usually costs less over time. We'll show you what we find and give you both options.
Can you fix gutters another company installed?
Yes. We regularly fix work left by other installers, from bad pitch to leaking seams, and sometimes replace a side of the house so it finally drains the way it should.
Why is water coming over the front of my gutter?
Usually a clog in the gutter or downspout. If the gutters are clean, the cause is often a pitch that runs the wrong way or a gutter and downspout too small for the roof above it.
Can you move a downspout so water goes farther from the house?
Yes. We can reposition downspouts and add extensions so the water lands well away from the foundation.
Do you replace just one damaged section?
When it makes sense, yes. We'll replace the damaged section with new seamless gutter and match the color as closely as possible.
Do you repair rotted fascia boards?
Yes. When water has been getting behind a gutter, the fascia board often rots. We repair the fascia so the gutter can be re-hung securely. We don't do soffit work.
Is the estimate free?
Yes, when we price it over the phone, from your photos or by looking at your house online. If you'd like a service call for an on-site inspection, the cost goes toward any work you agree to.
How much does gutter repair cost?
Gutter repair costs depend on what's wrong: resealing a corner is a small job, while replacing a section, re-hanging a long sagging run or fixing rotted fascia takes more time and material. Height and access matter too. We inspect the problem and give you a free estimate before doing any work.
Why are my gutters leaking?
The most common causes are failed sealant at corners and end caps, holes or rust, clogs that make water back up and overflow, a pitch that sends water the wrong way, and damage from ice and snow. We find the cause so the repair holds.
How do you fix sagging gutters?
Sagging gutters are re-hung with proper hangers fastened into solid wood, and the pitch is corrected so water runs to the downspout. If the fascia board behind the gutter has rotted, we repair it first, or the new hangers won't hold.
What is a downspout?
A downspout is the vertical pipe that carries water from the gutter down to the ground. Downspouts should end with an elbow and extension that send water away from the foundation.
How far should downspouts drain from the house?
Water should land well away from your foundation, at least several feet, and on ground that slopes away from the house. We can add extensions or reroute downspouts to get it there.
Who do I call for a clogged downspout?
Call us. We clear clogged downspouts, usually blocked at the elbows. With a gutter cleaning, the downspouts are cleaned by hand as part of the job.
