Three ways to choose

Match the trim so the gutters disappear into the fascia. White and cream are the most common choices on New England homes.
Match the roof for a clean line along the eaves, with bronze, brown, dark gray or black on darker roofs.
Match the shutters or door to frame the house. Dark green, red and black work well on colonials and capes.
