We recently had our entire house's gutter guards installed. The project was completed in a timely manner. Communication throughout the project was seamless, from scheduling to completion. Tech Edy and Nobel were onsite promptly and ensured that all debris was cleared before they departed. The job quality was exceptional!

Gutter Guards in East Greenwich, RI
On a tall East Greenwich colonial, every gutter cleaning is a long ladder climb. Guards cut most of those climbs and keep oak leaves from sending roof water over the edge and down your hill.

Gutter guards built for East Greenwich oaks and tall rooflines
The newer neighborhoods on the west side of East Greenwich were carved out of oak and maple woods, and many of the trees were left standing. That is good for shade and hard on gutters. The colonials there tend to have long rooflines, a garage wing and two or three stories at the back. Cleaning those gutters means a tall ladder on uneven ground, often more than once each fall, because the oaks keep dropping leaves well into November.
Down near Main Street and the Hill and Harbour streets, houses are older and closer together, and the challenge shifts. Trees on neighboring lots drop into your gutters, and the land slopes toward Greenwich Cove, so an overflow sends water racing downhill along the foundation. A guard keeps the gutter open through a heavy storm, which means roof water reaches the downspout instead of spilling over the front and running along the house.
Two guards are available in East Greenwich: Proflow, which is a sturdy perforated aluminum cover, and All Mesh Pro, a fine stainless steel mesh that Champion Gutter Products makes. Your existing gutters can usually stay. On every install we clean out all the gutters and downspouts first and handle the repairs the system needs, such as loose hangers or a sagging run. Our pricing sits at about half of what the big national guard brands charge, and there is a current gutter guard special you can ask us about.

Late oak leaves on the west side
Oaks around the western neighborhoods hold their leaves longer than most trees and drop them in waves into late November. A single fall cleaning rarely catches the last wave, so open gutters head into winter half full.
Catkins and acorn caps
In spring, oaks shed stringy catkins that mat together in the gutter like wet felt. In fall, acorn caps and small twigs follow. Small pieces like these are exactly what plugs a downspout opening, and a fine mesh holds them on the roof side.
Valleys on big colonials
Large homes with several roof planes have valleys that funnel leaves and grit to one corner. That corner overflows first, often right above a front entry or a deck. Guards across those corners stop the repeat clog.
Third-story ladder work
Many East Greenwich houses have rear walls that run three stories once the yard drops away. Gutters that high are hard to reach and risky to clean yourself, so cutting the number of cleanings matters more here than on a single-story ranch.
Two guards, matched to your house
Both cost about half what the big national brands charge, and every installation includes cleaning your gutters and downspouts and any repairs needed.
Stainless steel mesh
All Mesh Pro
A fine stainless steel mesh, made by Champion Gutter Products, that keeps out leaves, pine needles and shingle grit while rain passes straight through. Our pick for homes under pines.
- Backed by the manufacturer's warranty
- No-clog money-back guarantee from the manufacturer
- Little to no maintenance; now and then debris may need clearing off the top
Perforated aluminum
Proflow
A sturdy aluminum gutter guard with rows of small openings. It covers the gutter, sheds leaves and keeps the big debris out, and it's built to stand up to New England snow and ice.
- Rigid aluminum cover
- Fits most existing gutters
- Installed with a full gutter cleaning and any needed repairs
Mesh or aluminum on an East Greenwich roof?
Under the oaks on the west side, All Mesh Pro is our usual pick. Its fine stainless steel mesh stops catkins, acorn caps and the shingle grit that washes off a big roof, and it is backed by the manufacturer's warranty and a no-clog money-back guarantee. Proflow suits homes near the cove and Main Street where the trees are fewer and the debris is mostly broad leaves drifting in from next door. On a tall colonial with several valleys, the mesh is worth it for those hard-working corners. Send a few photos of the roof and the trees around it, and we will tell you which one fits.
Gutter guards go by a lot of names, including leaf guards, gutter covers, gutter protection and gutter filters. Every installation includes cleaning your gutters and downspouts and any repairs the system needs, and our own crew does the work, never a subcontractor.
